Experience: Uncomfortable but Stretching
I love taking pictures! I love taking pictures so much that I literally have 10’s of thousands. Here is the thing though…I hate don’t prefer being on the receiving end of the camera. I think this is common for a photographer but as a result, I think that until two weeks ago I had a total of SIX pictures of me from the last 10 years.
On my trip to DR, I decided that I wanted to STRETCH myself by trying some self portraits. EEEEKKKK was this painful uncomfortable.
Darling hubby helped after I set up the shots…..but again….AAAACCCCKKKK…..
No MAKE-UP in this shot….now that is a stretch for me.
I think I let my inhibitions down for two reasons….one…I realize that today is the youngest I will ever be….and two…..
I had quite a few “Shawn-tini(s)” during the week and my brain must have been foggy!
Happy Valentines Day

My creative juices have really been flowing this past week getting ready for today. Here are the special things I designed and made for the little people that I HEART….
There is something about a “tiny valentine” that makes me swoon. These little pieces of fabric art are 2 x 3 inches. I designed and cut out this “funky heart” on white canvas. I then backed the canvas with a 1 inch piece of fabric and machine sewed the front.
I LOVE how they turned out!
I have been tinkering around with “Silhouette Pillows” the last few months. Each of the girls is receiving a design created just for them!
The children and I made 10 personalized Valentines for our immediate family and sent those out this week too.
What a fun week it has been. I will be spending a fun day with my family trying out the Salt Dough Ornaments from Ilka’s attic.
