Buttercup Farm “Cutting Garden Tuesday”
The cutting garden is underway! Each Tuesday, I will share a new flower that has been added to the NEW Buttercup Farm Cutting Garden.
SONATA CARMINE COSMOS

I am starting with my favorite cutting flower … COSMOS.

The flowers are easy to maintain as long as you are willing to dead-head the blooms gone by…
I chose this variety for the VIBRANT COLORS and LONG-SEASON display of beautiful blooms.

Give lots of sun and water and plant in fertile, well-drained soil.

I use cosmos in loose arrangements, as well as single flower bud vases.

I love cosmos! They always add such a happy feeling to a garden bouquet. Have you tried the chocolate cosmos? A fun, rich color with truly a hint of chocolate scent!
Please check out my blog where I’ve left an award for you!

Shawn, I have so many it’s hard to select one to tell you about. Peonies and Hydrangeas are my 2 favorites because one blossom fills a vase. BUT…there is a weed called Queen Anne’s Lace that is so airy and light. It gives every bouquet a bit of charm. Are you familiar with it?
Kisses to you and the girls.

Shawn, I’m jealous! A cutting garden!! I wish!! I posted a picture, for you, of my favorite flower, my delphiniums, on the TP Community. Your cosmos are so pretty too. I love how they move in the wind AND how they re-seed themselves:)
